Coors Brewery Tours in Golden Colorado
Coors Brewery is the fifth largest brewing company in the world; third largest in the United States, and the brewery in Golden, Colorado is the largest single site brewery in the world. Adolph Coors, a German immigrant, and his partner, who he bought out in 1880, started the business in Golden in 1873. In prohibition, Coors Brewery was one of the few that remained viable, as the company also produced procelain and malted milk. Experience in "non-brewery" production, left the company perfectly poised to develop other related products. Coors, the first beer to use aluminum cans, and the inventor of the first pllution-free push tab can in the 1970's operates the Rocky Mountain Metal Container factory, the largest manufacturing plant of aluminum cans in the world. Though Coors Beer is widely known around the world, through development, buy-outs, and partnerships, the company has many brands. With Coors Brewing Company, Molson-Coors, and Miller-Coors the company is involved with all varieties of Coors Beer, Molson Ale, Keystone Beer, and Miller Beer, Killian's Irish Red, Extra Gold, Blue Moon, Zima, and seasonal beers in the United States and Canada, and is responsible for more than a dozen brands in the United Kingdom as well.
