The Historic Savannah Theatre
The Historic Savannah Theatre was originally constructed in 1818 and has been a driving force in live entertainment since its inception. The theatre is the oldest continually operating theater in the country and has had many notables grace its stage. W.C. Fields, Oscar Wilde, Tyrone Power, Lillian Russell, Sarah Bernhardt, and Edwin Booth (brother of John Wilkes Booth) are just a few of the many famous actors to perform on the stage. Through many different face-lifts the theatre now boasts a 1940's Art Deco style. With state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, the Historic Savannah Theatre now offers Broadway Style Musicals, sure to please the most discerning tastes.
