Shows and Attractions Found on Our Tours
Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House
For years Mrs. Wilkes' was the place that only locals went to for lunch. Mrs. Wilkes didn't even have a sign, but the lines forming daily on Jones Street in historic Savannah soon brought crowds of tourists. Our arrangements with Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House will be for a private dinner, but the food and the service are the same that people stand in line for every weekday. Wear something loose; the family-style menu includes Fried Chicken, Beef Stew, Sausage, Macaroni Salad, Apple Salad, Collard Greens, Okra & Tomatoes, Snap Beans, Black-eyed Peas, Pickled Beets, Butter Beans, Rice & Gravy, Candied Yams, Squash, Mashed Potatoes, and Banana Pudding for dessert.
